NTA’s official NEET mock test: how to use it, and how to practise more

Updated 4 November 2026By Nirmal Sunda, NEET mentor at Testline

NTA’s official practice page is nta.ac.in/Quiz. It lists a NEET mock for practice, with separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers. It does not offer one full NEET paper there. Our free NTA-style CBT practice test is separate. It gives you a full paper and review tools.

The NTA page says its mock is only for practice. NTA has not released a NEET-specific CBT exam; NEET is still a pen-and-paper exam. NEET 2027’s mode has not been decided. Check the latest NEET 2027 mode status.

How do I open NTA’s NEET mock test?

Open the NTA Test Practice Centre. Follow these steps:

  1. Select NEET from the exam list.
  2. Choose PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY or BIOLOGY from the paper list.
  3. Select Start Mock Test.
  4. On the Login (Demo) screen, use the pre-filled details.
  5. Read the instructions, tick the confirmation box, then choose Proceed.

You do not need to register to enter the demo. The instructions page offers English, Hindi and Gujarati. In the Physics and Biology papers checked, the language menu showed English only.

What do you get in NTA’s NEET practice mock?

The mock shows an NTA CBT-style screen, a timer, a question palette and answer buttons. The Physics paper has 45 questions, and Biology has 90. Chemistry is listed, but we have not checked its paper.

The instructions set a 180-minute timer for each subject paper. That is more time than the real NEET time available for one subject. Treat each mock as a way to learn the screen, not as a timed subject test that matches the real exam.

After you submit, NTA shows an exam summary. The score card includes attempted questions, correct and incorrect answers, score, and your selected and correct options. The source and year of the questions are not known, so do not assume they are past NEET questions.

What is missing from NTA’s mock score card?

The checked score card does not include worked solutions, a rank or percentile, or college information. It shows the selected option and the correct option, so you can compare your answers, but it does not explain how to solve a question.

What is a good way to use both mocks?

Start with NTA’s mock. Click through the screen and learn how its palette and buttons work. If you want help with each control, see our CBT exam interface guide.

Then take a full paper on our site. A single sitting helps you practise staying focused across the full paper. Check your score, review wrong and skipped questions, and read the solutions. You can also use this simple guide to practise for CBT.

Our screen is an NTA-style CBT practice screen. It is not an official NEET CBT, because NTA has not released one. See our free full-paper practice test.
